£10,344 Raised for Finding Freedom From Domestic Abuse at Charity Dinner

A charity dinner and auction held on the 13th of September proved to be a tremendous success, raising an impressive £10,344 for the local charity Finding Freedom From Domestic Abuse.

The evening was marked by generosity and community spirit, all in support of a crucial cause—funding dispersed accommodation for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

The event took place at the Masonic Hall and welcomed several distinguished guests, including the Chief Executive of Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC), the Mayor and Mayoress of Test Valley, a Local MP, local councillors, and the Housing Manager of TVBC. Their attendance highlighted the significance of the event and their dedication to supporting individuals affected by domestic and sexual abuse.

The organisers extended their heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the evening. From those who sponsored, donated, purchased tickets, and attended, to the bidders on auction items, bar staff, cleaners, and chefs—every person played a vital role in achieving the remarkable fundraising total. The collective effort made the night truly memorable.

Special recognition was given to the event’s sponsors, whose generous support greatly enhanced the charity dinner and auction. The Gold Package sponsors, Empath Security and Charlotte Male – The Strength Coach, were particularly thanked, as well as Wessex H&R, a Silver Package sponsor, for their significant contributions to the evening.

The funds raised will be used to support the charity’s efforts in providing dispersed accommodation for survivors, offering them a safe and supportive environment as they rebuild their lives. The organisers expressed their deep gratitude for the unwavering support, noting that the remarkable outcome would not have been possible without the combined efforts of all involved.

This charity dinner and auction has made a meaningful difference to the lives of those in need, demonstrating the power of community when united for a vital cause.
