A Cracking Start to the Easter Holidays with popular
Easter Event

Andover High Street was buzzing with local families on Saturday 16th April, the beautiful weather along with plenty of fun in the High Street attracted locals of which took part in the cracking Easter Event.

InAndover, ran by the Andover BID, ran an Easter Trail with Test Valley Borough Council alongside the Riverside Park Mobile Farm, outdoor games and craft sessions that took part inside the Chantry Centre. 20 local Andover businesses participated in the Easter Trail, and over 300 families took part, great feedback was left by the families that took part and there was plenty of smiles from the children enjoying the fun in the sun.

Andover town appeared to be buzzing with local families and shoppers with this event proving to drive footfall into our much-loved market town. Wilko’s shared ‘We had a fantastic day, with sales dramatically up from the previous Saturday’ The Wilko’s manager was pleased to be exceeding targets.

Other Town Centre businesses also mentioned how trading was on the up for them due to increased footfall, The Magic Bakery on Union Street told us ‘We had our best day trading since opening’ as well as the team from Canto Gelato reporting ‘a very good yet very busy day.’

Reports show that footfall into the town was up by 50% compared to last weeks statistics, also an increase of 45% compared to this time last year, a real sign that Andover BID through InAndover is driving interest into the town, local people are supporting the town centre and supporting shop local.
