Congratulations has been given to Andover AC athlete Thomas Holmes on his outstanding performance in the Men’s Javelin Final of the U20 European Championships in Tallinn.
Andover AC athlete Thomas Holmes who competed in the group qualifiers at the U20 European Championships in Estonia on the 15th July . Thomas qualified from his group and will competed in the final on Saturday. With a qualifying throw of 66.5m.
On Saturday After two rounds Thomas dug deep and really found his form, stepping up his performance to throw a new PB of 70.70m earning him 4th place overall. You could see the elation and relief on his face when he saw the scoreboard confirm he had finally hit above the 70m standard.
Andover AC Athletics Club give a big thank you to all the Team GB staff who supported Thomas on his first international, with a special thanks to Laura Kerr who was there for him every step of the way.
