A local entrepreneur has just published her sixth careers advice magazine.
“Future Mag” is distributed to school all over the UK and offers accurate careers advice to young people. It is the brain-child of Ruth Sparkes from Andover who was angry with incorrect careers information given to her son Matthew.
The free magazine now has an 80,000 circulation to schools across the UK and bridges the gap between education and lifestyle.
Ruth told Andover Radio the time and financial demands on schools mean sometimes teachers are not able to offer the correct careers advice to their pupils:
