Comedy String Quartet Graffiti Classics come to Andover next month

This group of superb musicians burst elitist boundaries with hilarious effect. Graffiti Classics are a string quartet with a difference. They don’t just play classical music; they go against the traditional.

The quartet have performed across the globe, whether on a Norwegian Cruise Line, the International Arts Centre of Singapore or in Southbank Centre in London, they have travelled near and far to keep people laughing.

Throughout their history, the quartet have also played corporate events, whether that is cabaret or after dinner entertainment as well as at schools across the UK and Ireland with their own tour of Playground Proms, as well as educational workshops. Live and on stage is where you’ll see them in Andover and Graffiti Classics’ show really is for everyone. This high-quality playing experienced group of musicians who have been carefully hand-picked because of their enthusiasm for classical music and their humour. This show is a true hybrid. A melting pot of comedy, dance, and the classics, and when mixed creates the group’s virtuosic playing of well-loved pieces, leaving audiences with giant grins and a warm fuzzy feeling in their stomach thanks to the persistent giggles!

Expect Dance of the Knights, Flight of The Bumblebee, Sabre Dance or Mozart’s Rondo alla turca. You name it, if it’s classical (and it can be made funny), they’ll play it. With 16 strings, 8 dancing feet and 4 voices, this string quartet has one aim, to make classical music mischievously funny. Their mission is to make sure you go home knowing you’ve spent your hard-earned money for the right reasons, to guarantee you have had a good time. If you’ve seen them before, you’ll know how good they are, if you haven’t seen them, you won’t want to hear about what a great night it was once it’s gone!

So, don’t miss out on so many laughs and tunes you know and love. This diverse show will be worth seeing live and in person! Those looking to book can do so by calling The Lights Box Office on 01264 368368 or alternatively in person on West Street, Andover, SP10 1AH. Or online at thelights.org.uk should they wish.
