Teams from local organisations took part in an Easter egg and spoon relay race today.
The race was to raise money for the chosen charities of Andover Carnival 2018.
Borough and town councillors were pitched against each other as Test Valley Borough Councillor Iris Andersen competed against Andover Town Councillor Richard Rowles.
In the friendly tie, Mr Rowles declared their own race as a dead heat. Mr Rowles told Love Andover, “Thanks for everyone organising this. As a dead heat, I am pleased that no one council ended up with egg on their face.”
The event replaced the annual pancake race, which was cancelled earlier this year.
Teams from local recruitment agency Active Staff, the Andover Women in Business group and Lloyds Bank also competed for prizes. Andover Women in Business took the winning title, beating Active Staff into second place.
Funds raised will go towards Andover MS Society and Icknield School.
