Enham Trust to celebrate Centenary with September events

#TeamEnham fundraisers are going the extra mile for disabled people this September to help mark their Centenary year.

Andover’s disability charity Enham Trust sets its sights on a jam-packed fundraising calendar this September for all to get involved in to commemorate their 100-year anniversary.

Amongst the events scheduled will be the return of the Enham Summer Fete as well as quiz nights and marathons.

The Enham Summer Fete, a local fan-favourite event of the charity’s, will be held on Saturday 18th September and is set to take place throughout the village of Enham Alamein from 10am-4pm. Attendees can expect to enjoy performances, stalls and activities fit for all the family, and even their dogs too. These include a Dog Show, silent disco, bouncy castle, heritage trail treasure hunt and much more.

Enham Trust’s Chief Executive, Heath Gunn, expressed his joy in being able to bring back this annual event after having to cancel last year due to COVID-19, he said, “We’re thrilled to be inviting the local community back together again in time for our Centenary celebrations. It’s been a challenging period for all during the pandemic, including us as a charity and those we work so hard to support, so what better way to come back from it all than by hosting our very own fete in the village where it all began 100 years ago”.

Also taking place at the feel-good fete is the One Chip Chilli Challenge, as part of the charity’s self-curated #Enham100Challenge, an initiative calling upon 100 fundraising enthusiasts to take on a feat of their choosing.

This September, more challengers are stepping up to the plate taking on the likes of hosting a mighty 100-question quiz night, enduring an epic 100km walk, and jumping out of a plane, all for a great cause.
