Kids’ motorcycle display revs up the crowd

Rockets Display

The Rockets Children’s Motorcycle Display team really impressed the crowds at yesterday’s Andover Armed Forces Day.

The team are one of just a handful of children’s Motorcycle Display Teams in the world and despite suffering in biking leathers under the heat of 31 degrees, they raised huge cheers from attendees to the third annual event in Andover.

The Rockets were formed in January last year and feature riders aged 4-16 years of age.

First time visitor to Andover Armed Forces Day Tommy Martin said, “These young girls and boys are incredible. The young one (Ollie) was 5-years old just a couple of weeks ago and he’s clearly not learned fear yet.

I thought they were brilliant, especially in all that heat.”

Riders Ava and Maddie, both 8, impressed the crowds with jumps through fire and dare-devil riders like 11-year Ryan made jumps of one and half metres, a jump taller than most of the riders
