Andover Armed Forces Day is Saturday June 29th at Vigo Park.

Organisers are seeking the last batch of businesses, craft stalls and traders who wish to sponsor, participate in or make use of this huge annual event in Andover.

A few 3m x 3m pitches are available and companies wanting to access people at the third event run by 95.9FM Andover Radio are encouraged to get in contact by May 31st for inclusion at the event and in event publicity.

The event features military vehicles, displays and interactive games and a showstopping centrepiece just getting ready to be announced [follow @LoveAndover on Facebook for announcements].

In previous years the event has attracted over 10,000 visitors over the day. The event celebrates the work of our armed forces and this year’s event will features performances and displays from The Paladins – a huge impressive and immersive series of displays from Britain’s medieval period.

The Rockets Children’s Motorcycle Display team are putting onto two hugely dare-daring displays from their young people. The Rockets are one of just a handful of children’s Motorcycle Display Teams in the world.

Vigo School Choir and Dorset 4th ‘Living History’ will be participating and the Gurkha Museum will be explaining the work of the Nepalese community within the British army with stories from the past and examples of their current commitments.

Famed pipe band The Southern Jacobites will also perform in the 50 metre square arena and the talented local ladies from ‘The Covergirlz’ will be performing 1940’s style music like ‘The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B’.

Live music is being organised by local singer-songwriter Alex Krupa, who is poised to release an album later in June.

Businesses who want to join companies like International Furniture, New Street Dental Care and Oaktree Accountants in sponsoring or supporting this event should contact organisers from Andover Radio by email.
