Mark Watson: This Can’t Be It

Multi-award-winning comedian, Mark Watson ponders the fragility of life in his new stand-up show at The Lights on Saturday 5 March

Hot on the heels of 4 sold out comedy shows from Al Murray and Henning Wehn at The Lights already this month, the venue is delighted to welcome back Comedian, novelist and star of Taskmaster Mark Watson.

We’ve all had some pondering to do about the fragility of life recently, but don’t worry, skinny national treasure Mark Watson has it covered.  At 41, he’s halfway through his days on earth, according to the life expectancy calculator app he paid £1.49 for. That life is in the best shape in living memory… but one problem remains, and it really is a huge one.

Mark is currently touring the UK with his new production This Can’t Be It, which mixes spiritual enquiry with high-octane observational comedy.

During the 90 minute show, Mark will attempt to cram a couple of years of pathological overthinking into an evening of stand-up. And hopefully try to solve that one huge problem.

Mark is well known for his stand-up comedy and has made regular appearances on TV panel shows, including Mock The Week, Nevermind The Buzzcocks and Have I Got News for You. Mark has also written several novels including The Place that Didn’t Exist, Dan and Sam, and Hotel Alpha.

This show is recommended for ages 14+ and tickets are now available to book online: www.thelights.org.uk or by calling the Box Office: 01264 368368.

For more information about the packed programme of comedy still to come at The Lights this year, including Shaparak Khorsandi, Larry Dean, Hal Cruttenden, Chris McCausland, Rich Hall, Richard Digance, Terry Alderton and more, simply browse www.thelights.org.uk
