Good news is May here and this glorious month brings not one bank holiday but two !
The May bank holidays fall on the 6th May and 27th May 2019
The second Bank holiday in May falls during our children’s summer half term. I will be sharing a school holiday guide soon.
Bank holidays were launched by Liberal politician and banker Sir John Lubbock in 1871, it was introduced as a way of giving workers respite.

Hurstbourne Tarrant 5 Mile Race
Saturday 4th May 2019
Online entries are now closed, but they will accept entries in person on the day, up to 30 minutes before the start, or until the race entry limit of 300 is reached. Minimum age on race day is 15. Monday 6th May 2019
Harewood Forest 10k, 5k and 2k. Races start at 10am, Great run through the forest and a sports fete afterwards. More details can be found here
Anton Rotary club car and motorbike show 2019
The Weyhill Showground, SP11 8EA. 11am -3pm
Anton Rotary Club are presenting a new Car and Motorcycle show at the car boot sale site at Weyhill near Andover.
The show will provide an opportunity for vehicle owners to showcase their ‘pride and joy’ to a wider public of all ages. It will be an entertaining presentation bringing vehicles of yesteryear through the ages to the most modern hand built cars and motorcycles. For more details click here

Open 1000-1800, 7 days a week. Finkley Down Farm Park is a family run children’s farm with all the character of a traditional farm plus indoor and outdoor play.
Based in the Chantry centre , Andover. a play centre for toddlers and pre-schoolers. Come and discover a scaled-down street designed to inspire young children to explore and pretend to their hearts’ content. Please give them a call to check they have space before you visit.
On Bridge street, Andover. Bowling, glo golf, pool and an american diner. It is suggested that you book your games time slot in advance as space is limited.
6 Church Close, Andover . Learn all about our towns history. The Museum of the Iron Age tells the story of Danebury hill fort which lies to the south west of Andover. (please check opening hours before you set out for your visit)
Open everyday 0930-1730, Andover’s indoor jungle adventure play area for accompanied children from 0 – 11 years.
