Summer family theatre goes outdoors

As theatre slowly edges back to welcoming audiences again, The Lights, Andover is delighted to announce TWO great family-friendly outdoor shows this summer…

Beginning in July, The Last Baguette Theatre Company will bring the legendary tale of King Arthur to Beech Hurst Park, Andover.

Somewhere in England, a long time ago, a very, very, very long time ago, so long ago that nobody quite knows whether it happened or not. Or where it happened or not.

A boy pulled a sword from a stone and became King.   A story of the old world, with knights, wizards, mist, and magic.

This fun and farcical adventure is a deliberately anarchic and anachronistic re-telling of the Arthurian Legend with live music, physical comedy and lo-fi acrobatics.

Suitable for ages 6+  There are two performances at 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Sunday, 25 July.  All tickets are £10.

More family-friendly fun will take place in the gardens of St Mary’s Church, Andover on Wednesday, 4 August at 2pm and 6pm.  Join Mole, Ratty, Toad and Badger on a wild adventure filled with motorcar madness, wicked weasels, exciting escapes and plenty of messing about in boats.

The critically-acclaimed Pantaloons Theatre Company put their own brand of anarchic spin on Kenneth Grahame’s classic countryside caper, The Wind in the Willows.   It will be frantically feral fun for the whole family!

Tickets are now available to book for all of these shows via http://www.thelights.org.uk/or by telephone at the Box Office: 01264 368368.
