Andover Quiz competition
Test your knowledge of Andover and enter this competition to be in with a chance to win a family day pass to Finkley Down Farm in Andover. Any age can enter. Simply fill in your answers and contact details then hand to our volunteers at the reception at the museum. Entries must be received by 2 Novembver 2019. The quiz questions have been written by local resident Carole who has kindly written this quiz for Andover Museum to help celebrate our Asking Andover co-curated exhibition about the living memories of Andover’s residents.

Your Living History Poem
Celebrate National Poetry Day by writing a poem about a particular room or any object in Andover Museum’s collection. You must first visit us to get your inspiration! Open to all ages! You could write a Ballad, sonnet, free verse, limerick, the form is up to you. All we ask is that it’s printed, in at least 14pt and fits on one side of A4 paper. Decorate the page if you want to. If you’d prefer to draw, then draw a cartoon (maximum four frames) or combine it with a poem. The same rules apply.
How to enter: Please bring your poem to the Museum at 6 Church Close, Andover SP10 1DP or return it to us via email Andover@ hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk by Weds 28 August 2019. Your poem (or cartoon) will be displayed within the rooms of the museum!
Celtic craft activity weeks

To celebrate 50 years of Danebury Hill Fort archaeology finds, children can enjoy our Celtic craft activity weeks , dig pits, object handling and more on selected days/times!
Roman Craft Activity week
Saturday 17 August – Saturday 24 August
Children can get involved in Roman themed crafts, object handling and more on selected days/times. Join in making a community mosaic for the Museum! Small fees may apply for some activities.
