Homebase have confirmed that the Andover store will not one of the 42 set to close – however the one in Salisbury will.
Homebase owner Hilco Capital outlined a Company Voluntary Arrangement – an insolvency measure just one step short of administration – earlier this morning (Tuesday 14th August 2018).
The procedure, used by struggling firms to shut shops, will place 1,500 jobs at risk.
Since the company took over Homebase for £1 earlier this year, it has been closing stores with 303 jobs being cut at its head office.
