As part of this year’s World Mental Health Day awareness activities, Andover Mind is inviting the community to join them at 11:30 a.m. for a delicious breakfast treat. There’s no need to book in advance, and while the breakfast is free, the team suggests a £2 donation to help cover costs and fund essential mental health services.
With 1 in 4 people experiencing mental ill health each year, donations will support Andover Mind’s ongoing work to ensure no one faces these challenges alone. Attendees are welcomed into a safe, non-judgemental space where they can enjoy a bacon sandwich, meet the friendly team, and find out more about the support available.
This World Mental Health Day, observed annually on 10 October, aims to spark important conversations about mental health. The theme for 2024, set by the World Federation of Mental Health, focuses on workplace mental health, underscoring the need to address mental wellbeing in professional environments to benefit both individuals and the wider community.
Andover Mind encourages everyone to not only attend but also take this opportunity to check in with friends, family, and colleagues. Mental health matters, and talking about it can help us navigate life’s challenges more effectively.
Why not come along, enjoy some tasty food, and contribute to a future where quality mental health care is accessible to all?
