Yesterday, Andover celebrated the launch of its Parkinson’s UK community café, with an impressive turnout from local residents.
The event, held to offer support and advice for those affected by Parkinson’s disease, brought together individuals eager to share their experiences and provide encouragement to one another.
The café, designed to foster a sense of community and offer a supportive environment, proved to be a great success. Attendees exchanged valuable advice and built connections through their shared experiences of living with the condition.
For those who were unable to attend the opening event, there’s no need to worry. The next gathering is scheduled for Wednesday 6th November at the Methodist Church on Bridge Street, Andover. The organisers hope to see even more people at the upcoming meeting, as the café aims to continue providing a safe and welcoming space for those affected by Parkinson’s disease in the local area.
With such a positive start, the community café is set to become a regular fixture in Andover’s calendar, offering ongoing support and companionship to all who attend.
