A-Fest Andover youth festival will be a live-streamed event that will be streamed on Saturday, September 6th, from 11 am to 3 pm on YouTube.It is the first time the popular festival will be virtual. Anyone can tune in by going to www.tinyurl.com/A-Fest2020, enabling young people and their families to enjoy the youth festival from the comfort of their homes.
The organisers, Katherine Bird and Cat Randle, have recruited Dmitrijs Meiksans MYP, local Member of Youth Parliament, to the team to ensure the smooth running on the day, after his successful charity Livestream for DMK Worldwide youth organisation, British Youth Council, Hampshire Youth Parliament, Unity, Andover Trees United.The team plans to have a variety of music, demonstrations, organisations, and businesses. The event will be a mixture of live streaming and films.
Katherine Bird, co-organiser, says, “We are delighted to be able to present A-Fest in a different format this year. “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses, youth groups and organisations to get involved and promote the services they offer for young people in our community”.
Last year, 3,000 young people and families attended A-Fest in Andover High Street, to see the opportunities available in Andover for 5-18-year-olds.
