An app has been launched by South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) NHS Foundation Trust to find the nearest Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) in case of an emergency.
Listing over 600 AEDs in Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire, the app is currently only available for iPhones and iPads however Android and Blackberry units are being developed.
The unit comes with simple instructions and has GPS functionality built-in to show the nearest AEDs in the area.
