APPEAL: Man assaulted in Andover

Police in Andover would like witnesses to come forward after a man was punched and kicked in Andover.

The incident took place at around 1.45pm on Thursday (25th January 2018), as the 20-year-old victim walked along a footpath which runs from Galahad Close towards Anton Lakes.

He was then approached and threatened by a young male before being punched and kicked.

The victim sustained a small cut to this right ear and a pain in his jaw.

The male is described as:
• White
• 16-18 years of age
• Around 6ft tall, of slim build
• Light brown hair

At the time he was wearing a shiny dark blue tracksuit and light blue trainers and in the company of another male, who was described as:
• White
• 16-18 years of age
• Of stocky build with dark brown or black hair and wearing a white hooded top

PC Sarah Warner said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who saw or has any information about what happened.

“In particular, we would like to speak to a man wearing a hi-vis jacket who was seen walking nearby towards King Arthurs Way – he may have information that could help our investigation.”
