Popular local business, The Tea Cosy in Hurstbourne Tarrant, has announced with immense sadness that it will be closing its doors permanently after ten years of serving the community. The cherished tea room, known for its speciality afternoon teas, delightful events, and scrumptious cakes, has found its current location untenable and will cease operations on 21st September 2024.
In a heartfelt announcement, The Tea Cosy invited patrons to visit and browse through its lovely décor, fixtures, and fittings, which will be available for purchase. The owners expressed their gratitude to the customers and staff who made the past decade memorable. “We have enjoyed every minute of the last ten years, meeting and serving wonderful people,” the statement read. Special thanks were extended to the hardworking staff, the performers from Jollypop Entertainment, and Sally Ann Bakes for their contributions.
The tea room will temporarily close from 4th August to 14th August to allow staff to take a break before what is expected to be a busy and emotional final period. Customers with vouchers are encouraged to book visits before the closing date, and the team is eager to welcome visitors for one last taste of their famous cakes and themed afternoon teas.
The future of The Tea Cosy remains uncertain, but the team has left open the possibility of finding new premises. For now, however, they bid a fond farewell, expressing much love and thanks to their loyal patrons. Any future business occupying the current unit will have no connection to The Tea Cosy.
