LOCKDOWN LEGEND: Lily Ward

Lily Ward Andover

We want to introduce you to some of the amazing people around Andover that are giving up their time, using their skills and helping others.

Meet Lily Ward... she’s a volunteer at the Andover Isolation Help Group.

Lily runs PurpleBricks Andover – an online estate agency.

Even though she is still supporting her existing and new property vendors and buyers across the area, she still finds time during the day to give her skills to the Andover Isolation Help Group.

27-year old Lily is a massive music fan and told Andover Radio, “I want to make a difference in Andover.” She was told by a user to whom she delivered food this week “You are a superstar”. The caller would otherwise have gone without food.

“This is a really hardworking team,” the Foo Fighters fan says. “I am really enjoying being part of the team here and I have met lots of new people.”

Rock fan Lily was introduced to Victoria Harber at the Queen Charlotte Inn, the hub of the Isolation Group in March. She “popped in” for a Guinness on St Patrick’s Day and was easily convinced to help out before the coronavirus situation escalated. She has been volunteering at the Group practically everyday since.

You can support Lily’s work at the Andover Isolation Help Group by donating to their GoFundMe page here.
