A creative Test Valley entrepreneur has received a £750 Business Incentive Grant from Test Valley Borough Council, to help her grow her new business, Little Country Lane.
Stephanie Cripps designs and sells a range of stationery and printed textiles, including aprons, bags, cushion covers, notebooks and fabrics. Stephanie studied at the London College of Printing and went on to work at the Victoria and Albert Museum, leading a team of picture researchers. Here, while working on numerous pattern projects and publications, Stephanie developed her love of surface pattern design. With her commercial business contacts, she is well-placed to access the very best products and services in the industry.
Penton Bellinger ward member, Councillor Pam Mutton, presented the cheque to Stephanie and said “It was a real pleasure to meet Stephanie and to see her work. She is a very talented artist and her products are beautiful. They are incredibly unique and it is clear to see that Stephanie takes inspiration from the area she lives in, by using images of trout and mayflies. I wish her all the best in her new venture.”

Test Valley Borough Council’s Business Incentive Grants are available to anyone looking to set up their own business in Test Valley. Anyone who successfully applies for the grant will receive a grant of £750 if their business is still going strong six months later.
