Artisan market draws visitors

Andover Artisan Market Gin Stall
High Street: Artisan Market, May 2018

The second Andover Artisan Market of the year is in the High Street today.

As a cool breeze complimented temperatures of 21 degrees, the High Street enjoyed sights and smells from small, local producers.

Exhibitors included fresh vegetables, meat products, craft stalls and the increasingly popular Gin Stall.

Music was provided by talented local singer Maddison Douch.

Visitor Steve from Grateley said, “It’s a lovely little market, clearly with a wide range of food and craft stuff to buy.

“I particularly liked chatting to the guys selling the gin.”

Janet Kirkum from Janet Mary Foral Design added, “It’s important for me as a new business to get out and introduce my floral products to new people.  This is a great event.”

The Brown Bread company, Greenfield Pork Products, Oaktrack Smallholdings and Sopley Salads had stalls among 20 or more other businesses.
