Conceived and directed by Rezia Wahid. The performance depicts the experiences she felt, heard, smelt during her pregnancies and the early years of motherhood. It conveys the characteristics of her young children, her own interpretations of the strong bond and her body movements on the loom.

dancing in the womb is authored by Rezia Wahid and published by Hesterglock Press. It chronicles her latest series of handwoven silk cloths from conception to epic productions on the loom which have been photographed in their various stages by professional photographer Paul Tucker. The inspiration for the book was borne during the first covid19 lockdown so includes an Introduction by Prof. Catherine Harper (Deputy Vice-Chancellor of University of Creative Arts written during that time. and essays by Prof. Simon Olding (Director of Crafts Study Centre), and Hettie Judah (senior art critic on British newspaper The i.)
