History of Knitting 1800-1945 With Joyce Meader

For our November meeting we are joined by knitting expert Joyce Meader – author of ‘Knitskreig – a Call to yarn’ – who owns a unique collection of commercial knitting patterns from 1817 to present day. She now uses them to recreate knitted garments and items for re-enacters, national museums and film and television and gives talks about the history of knitting.
