ICE HERITAGE EXHIBITION – LEATHER MAKING: CRAFTING PERSONAL PIECES
January 26 @ 10:00 am - February 26 @ 4:00 pm
Free
This exhibition shows the processes of leather making, demonstrating the range of skills young people from ICE Heritage Leather Making and Craft group have learnt including beveling, stamping and dyeing.
This exhibition extends the display of traditional skills and materials found in the Museum’s permanent collections as well as the sense of place and heritage in Andover, as a site of leathercraft.
The ICE Heritage project aims to promote positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people through access to local heritage and high-quality creative activity. Over 2 years the programme will continue to enable the young people to establish their independent journeys to improved longer-term wellbeing within their local communities.
The ICE Heritage project is a two-year collaboration between Hampshire Cultural Trust and Hampshire CAMHS, supported by National Heritage Lottery Fund and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
FREE ENTRY TO EXHIBITION AND ANDOVER MUSEUM.
