Songwriters Night – Coffee #1

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read this, songwriting is a passion of mine.
Not just writing myself, but hearing the original music people create and share.
From this, I’ve been inspired to create a songwriters night designed specifically around an engagement between the artist and the audience.
The event etiquette are as follows:
Each act has 4 original songs throughout the night.
Once the first act has played their first song.
It will opened up to the audience in which the artists can pick 4 questions from the audience.
After which, it will be passed to the next artist to play.
This will continue until all 4 acts have played 2 songs.
Then there will be a 15 min break for toilets/drinks etc.
In total, we are looking to get 4 songs out from each artist, but depending on how drawn out the questions may get, this may be lowered to 3 songs each.
There is a minimal talking policy during the event. By all means talk to the person next to you but keep it subtle as to not to disturb anyone listening around you.
The bar will be open, which you are more than welcome to use but would ask, if possible, to buy what you can pre-show or during the break.
All money brought from tickets sells (minus £25 for overheads) will be equally divided between the artists.
It’s a window into what it takes to be a songwriter in different genres and helps the artist understand the interested of its audience.
And also gives Andover and the surrounding a platform to show there creativity with the future holding a prospect to recording studios and produces to be in attendance.
The doors open at 18:30
The event starts at 19:00
The event closes at 21:00
