Hampshire Hospitals Maternity has created a Facebook page with the aim of reaching more families who will be having their maternity care with Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (HHFT) – in Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover.
They share on their page, Hampshire Hospitals Maternity, “This page has been created to provide information, advice and updates for families having maternity care with Hampshire Hospitals. This information will apply to the maternity services at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and Andover War Memorial Hospital.
The safety and wellbeing of families in our care has always been our highest priority and over the last year we have been following national recommendations to ensure that we provide your maternity care in the safest possible way during the current pandemic. This has led to some changes in the way we provide services. We continue to review the best possible way to care for and support families to be together at such an important time in their lives.
Over the coming weeks and months we will share information about the impact of COVID on the care we are providing and how we plan to keep you, your families and our staff safe, as well as offer advice about what you can do to protect yourselves at work and home
We will be posting video tours of the birthing facilities at each hospital, information about our staff, links to pages and sites where you can find advice about all stages of pregnancy, your physical and mental health and caring for a new baby. We will also be sharing a monthly update about the births in each of the hospitals.”
