Local charity The Jamie G Sporting Trust recently celebrated their 11th annual gala ball and raised over £7500 on the evening.
The event, held at The Lights, brought together representatives from local sports clubs, long time supporters of the trust and friends of the committee for a night of fundraising.
The charity was set up in 2009 after the sudden passing of Jamie Gentleman, from an undetectable heart condition just days before his 14th birthday.
Since then, the Andover focused charity have funded over £145,000 to local sports clubs, groups, organisations and individuals.
Chairman of the Trust and Jamie’s older Brother Tommy Gentleman added
“Thank you for everyone’s ongoing and added support. 13 years on and we are going from strength to strength. Participation in sport is important for the physical, mental and social aspects of health, particularly amongst the young members of the community.”
