AFMCG is a group for those living with Fibromyalgia & M.E based here in Andover, who need to talk to others who understand the impact it has on daily life.
Fibromyalgia Fibromyalgia (FMS) symptoms include chronic pain, debilitating fatigue, sleep disturbance, joint stiffness, difficulty with swallowing, bowel & bladder abnormalities, numbness & tingling, dysautonomia & cognitive dysfunction. Myalgic encephalomyelitis (M.E) has a range of neurological symptoms & include muscle pain with intense physical or mental exhaustion, debilitating fatigue & sometimes cognitive disabilities. Living with these symptoms means that daily activities that a healthy person takes for granted are considerably more difficult. Therefore, adjusting to these changes can be distressing without support and why AFMCG is so important.
It is FREE to join, however we do kindly ask for £1 subs at meetings. We also like to encourage members to pay a small fee for a membership card with a photo & hologram. This helps members to take advantage of some of the other benefits associated with being part of AFMCG. We are trying to arrange online meetings via Zoom, however members can also talk to others who live these conditions via our online HealthUnlocked (HU) community forum.
