Are we still allowed to take our kids to the park ?

Several local parents have been asking , “Can we still visit the park with our children, during this lockdown ?

Good news for families, as playgrounds will stay open, unlike in the March lockdown when they were closed in a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

You can visit with:

  • the people you live with
  • your support bubble
  • or, when on your own, one person from another household.

Children under 5, as well as disabled people dependent on round-the-clock care are not counted towards the limit on two people meeting outside.

You should stay two metres apart from people not in your household or support bubble. Where this is not possible, stay one metre apart with extra precautions (e.g. wearing a face covering). And remeneber to take your hand sanitiser.

Public toilets, will be kept open as well.
