The amazing award-nominated Andover Musical Theatre Company are bringing the hit musical Annie to town.
The hit musical Annie, which is currently enjoying a succesful revival on Broadway, will take to the stage at The Lights from Tuesday 21st to Saturday 25th May 2013.
The local theatrical charity, who were nominated in the category of ‘Best Musical’ at the Southern Daily Echo Curtain Call Awards last year for their production of ‘Jekyll & Hyde’, are excited to bring this lively fun-filled family show to Andover. Audiences can expect the usual top quality production, with great singing, acting, costuming and scenery. Two teams of girls from Andover and the surrounding areas will perform alternative nights as the orphans, as will two talented girls sharing the title role of Annie… Jessica Romer-Lee and Tiger-Lily Jonathan.
Jessica attends Rookwood School and wanted to be a part of ‘Annie’ as she loves acting and thought it would be great fun being able to sing with her friends. Jessica has previously been in school plays and is a member of the Stagecoach theatre arts school.
Tiger-Lily attends Clatford Church of England Primary School. She has previously performed with Stagecoach theatre arts school and The Long Overdue Theatre School.
It has to be said that the star of the show is Barney, a 12 year old Tibetan Terrier, playing the part of Sandy the dog.
Tickets are available from The Lights Box Office 01264 368368
