Andover Town FC back to winning ways

Andover Town FC
Celebrations: Andover Town FC

Andover Town returned to winning ways last night after Saturday’s setback with a hard fought two one win at Bashley,

Reece Rusher gave the Town the lead fifteen minutes in to the second half and then it was a tale of two penalties.

Town were given one that looked very “soft” from the sidelines which Joe Wright converted but Bashley missed from the spot when the kick rebounded to safety off goalkeeper Steve Mowthorpe’s legs, Bashley did pull a goal back in the dying minutes but Town held on for the three points which leaves the top of the table unaltered as closest rivals Blackfield and Langley also won on the night at Amesbury.

This coming weekend New Street are in action on Friday evening when they entertain near neighbours Whitchurch,, which hopefully will attract a good attendance, while Team Solent are the visitors to the Portway on Saturday.
