A local trailer manufacturer is celebrating after the motorbike team it sponsors won the 2013 British Supersport Championship title on Sunday (October 20).
Andover Trailers, based on the Walworth Business Park, has supported the Mar-Train Racing team since 2005 and its name features prominently on the team’s R6 Yamaha bikes. It is run by one of its most prestigious customers, Northern Ireland-based Mar-Train Heavy Haulage, which has been buying specialised trailers from the Andover firm for more than 24 years.
After a tense weekend of racing at a wet and rainy Brands Hatch, Mar-Train Racing’s Stuart Easton soared past the previous day’s leaders on the tenth lap to be crowned the race winner and scoop the title for his team with his tenth win of the season.

The sponsorship agreement with Mar-Train Racing strengthens a business relationship between Andover Trailers and Mar-Train Heavy Haulage, which earlier this year saw Andover supply Mar-Train with a new five axle step frame trailer worth more than £80,000, which will be used to transport heavy-duty machinery around the UK and Europe.
