Black Marin Bike Stolen

Police are appealing for information about the whereabouts of a high value mountain bike that was stolen in Andover.

Two bikes left locked to lamp posts were stolen between 8pm and 8.45pm on Monday, February 11 in Bridge Street.

One of the bikes has since been recovered by police but a black Marin Quake bike is still outstanding.

The bike is valued at around £3000 and is of a high specification.

PC Patrick Coveney from Andover police station said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has information about the theft of these two bikes. Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in Bridge Street at the time of the incident or did you see the bikes being ridden away?”

A 22-year-old man from Andover has been arrested on suspicion of theft. He has been bailed pending further enquiries until April 10.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Coveney at Andover police station by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call the police on 18001 101. Information can be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111
