The Poll on the website was meant as a bit of fun however, after removing obvious multiple entries, it appears some people have been taking it a bit too seriously! đ
Several votes in the election poll on the website have been removed due to “multiple voting” – not quite “election fraud” but you have to wonder why…
Before Removal Results
As at 8:30am today (Wednesday 1st May) the results for the main parties stood as follows:
- Conservatives – 38
- Liberal Democrats – 171
- Labour – 51
- UKIP – 179
After Removal Results
After the adjustments the results stood as follows:
- Conservatives – 37
- Liberal Democrats – 57
- Labour – 35
- UKIP – 129
Number of Removed Votes
This means the total of removed “votes” were as follows:
- Conservatives – 1
- Liberal Democrats – 114
- Labour – 16
- UKIP – 50
Unfortunately due to a blip in the database the adjusted figures are not showing on the site – we’re working through with the poll developer to rectify this.
We have kept records of the votes removed together with the details – and have removed all apart from one vote after multiple clicks on a daily basis were tracked. For example, 4 clicks was reduced to 1 instead of removing them all.
The poll on the website may or may not be accurate come Thursday – it is a lot easier to click a button than to get out and tick a box in a polling booth.
The poll will close at 7.00am on Thursday (election day). And yes, we will still be monitoring it đ
Note To Parties
If you feel the results are inaccurate for your party, feel free to get in touch and you can have details of your party votes.
