Carnival team serve up huge cheque for local charity

The Andover Carnival team had their AGM last night (15th September) as they reflected on a successful 2022 carnival and started planning on 2023 carnival but also to present a massive cheque to Andover Twenty1 for £3,300 that was raised at this year’s carnival.

Andover Carnival is a not for profit organization of volunteers who enjoy putting the fun back into fundraising.

The team pulled off an amazing carnival that was came back with a bang and enjoyed by thousands. The carnival had chosen Andover Twenty1 as the charity that would benefit from the fundraising event.

Andover Twenty1 purpose is to provide support to children with Down’s Syndrome, and their families, from birth and through school. They want their members to reach their potential, both socially and academically.

One of the event organisers Kevin Rush told us “It was so amazing to be able to host the Carnival after such a long break and we were really moved to see many from the community come and join us on the day. As always Andover’s generosity once more allowed us to hand over a cheque to a local cause knowing how much it will their cause.

“It was a great day and showed us what a great place Andover can really be. Plans are already being made for bigger and better next year. If anybody wants to get involved then please email carnivalkev@hotmail.com for any info”.
