After pressure from TVBC Estates Department, Andover College and Councillor Tony Hooke, the Environmental Agency are now progressing work on the Andover College culvert.

Due to an issue with the culvert – possibly a bacteria blockage –  the nearby stream has been overflowing causing a flooding issue in the area between the College, Magistrates Court and the pond outside the college. This has led to sandbags being used to contain the running water.

The work was apparently delayed after the Environmental Agency contact did not attend a meeting due to a holiday however the necessary work has now been planned in.

There is currently no timescale however the parties involved are applying pressure to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
