Police in Stockbridge are appealing for witnesses after five homes were targeted by thieves.

Between 10am and 4.35pm on Wednesday, April 3 entry was forced into a home in Longstock Road, Goodworth Clatford near Andover.

Offenders stole a 47 inch Sony television, a 28 inch Samsung television and a HP laptop.

Between 5pm and 9.20pm on Wednesday, April 3 thieves broke into a home in Bent Street, Nether Wallop and stole three shot guns along with an oil lamp.

An attempt was made to gain access to a house in Horsebridge Road, Broughton near Stockbridge between 6.50pm and 7.20pm on Wednesday, April 3. The offenders may have been disturbed before they could enter the home.

Between 5pm on Saturday, March 23 and 8pm on Wednesday, April 3 a house in Salisbury Hill, Stockbridge was targeted and an iPad with keyboard and items of jewellery stolen.

Some time between Wednesday, March 27 and Wednesday, April 3, entry was forced to a house in Joys Lane, Chilbolton near Stockbridge. A Bang and Olufsen television, clothing and handbags were stolen.

Detective Sergeant Karen Lillywhite from Andover CID said: “We are currently investigating a series of burglaries in the Stockbridge area that may be linked.

We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of these incidents. Any information you have, no matter how small, may help us to find the person or people responsible.

In particular we are interested in speaking to a cyclist who was seen in Horsebridge Road and may have information about a silver Volkswagen Golf that was also in the area at that time.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Det Sgt Lillywhite at Andover CID by phoning 101. Mini-Com users can call the police on 18001 101. Information can be given anonymously by calling the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
