Kit Malthouse today started his campaign to return to North-West Hampshire as the MP for this constituency.
At the front of the Andover Guildhall alongside members of the Conservative party, the candidate for re-election stood poigniantly beneath the lamppost as if to say, ‘I can light the way.’
On local issues, Kit stated he stands for
- Continued investement and improvement in the local hosptial
- Getting more Police Officers on our streets
- Working with Cllr Phil North and TVBC to get the town redevelopment underway
- Improve the levels of schools and education in the area.
On launching his campaign, Kit was approached by a voter and asked.”Do you think we’ll achieve Brexit?’
Kit’s reply was, ‘If people give us the majority we need in this electiion, we could be out by Christmas. The best way of ensuring Brexit is to vote conservative’
When asked how he felt personally about standing for election for the region he replied,
“I’ve stood for election three times in the last five years. North-west Hampshire is a fantastic area. The people of Andover have been very welcoming and it is a great place to live and work. I am looking forward to getting out there and meeting the voters”Kit Malthouse
