The Mail Processing Centre at Lloyds Banking Group in Andover were one of the “2013 Sword of Honour” winners at a recent British Safety Council award scheme aiming to recognise the ‘best of the best’ in health and safety management.

The 2013 Sword of Honour was open to organisations that achieved a Five Star rating in the British Safety Council’s Five Star Occupational Health and Safety Audit between 1 August 2012 and 31 July 2013.

There were 86 applications for this year’s Sword of Honour of which 68 reached the pass standard of 60 out of a possible 72. Organisations were required to answer questions about their health and safety strategy and management and all applications were marked by independent adjudicators.

The winners’ luncheon was held at Goldsmiths’ Hall, City of London on 29 November 2013.
