Local Martial Arts centre to offer free knife defence workshop

Hampshire’s largest full-time Martial Arts academy to offer free knife defence workshop to people of Andover.
A local, family-run Martial Arts centre in Andover is offering families in the area the opportunity to learn more about how to protect themselves against rising knife crime.

Martial Art World, based on West Portway Business Park, will be running the knife defence workshop free of charge to members of the public in a bid to help keep the community safe from growing concerns for knife crime across the UK.

Founder of Martial Art World Master Bonthuys, who will be leading the seminar, remarked:

One of our priorities here at Martial Art World is to ensure that all our students feel safe;
increasing their confidence and self-esteem. For us, Martial Arts isn’t about training people to fight, it’s about giving people the skills they need so they don’t feel they have to fight! And, with national concern surrounding knife crime rising, it feels only natural that we would equip members of our community with the knowledge and skills they need to defend themselves should they ever experience this
.”

Martial Art World’s ‘Knife Defence’ workshop will take place on 22nd June between 2 & 3.30pm, at their dedicated Martial Arts centre in West Portway Business Park. Places are limited and early booking essential; anyone interested in attending is asked to
visit: mawknifedefence.eventbrite.co.uk to book their free places.

Martial Art World is a multi-award winning mixed martial art school based in Andover;
specialising in Martial Arts programmes suitable for the whole family.
