Hampshire Police have advised motorists of the closure on Northbound and Southbound carriageways of the A34 after a serious collision this morning.

There is a full closure on the A34 Northbound at Bullington Cross and Southbound at the A343 so please avoid the area as the closures will be in place for some time.

Hampshire Police said “We would like to thank everyone for their patience while we deal with this.

“If you are stuck in the traffic as a result of this please stay in your vehicles and keep as warm as possible – we are on scene and working hard to try and ease the congestion as soon as it is safe to do so.

We will update with more information as soon as we can.

Please keep checking our Facebook page and our Twitter feeds for the latest information.”
