Andover BID has launched its new Andover Indies sustainable shopping bag.
Working closely with its local Indies (independent businesses) to design the bag, each independent business in the town centre is being supplied with a quantity of bags for the use of its customers. The bags have the Indies logo on one side and the names of the many Indie businesses on the reverse.
Steve Godwin, BID Manager said, “We have recognised the strength of the many independent businesses in the town and have done something to promote them which they can be proud of. When visiting Andover, and picking up one of the bags, members of the public may be surprised at just how many vibrant and individual local businesses we have. All passionate about their own business and the town that they are trading in.”
“Andover BID has been delighted at the interest from businesses who are wanting to move into the town. We understand the changing face of the High Street and that national chains are struggling with the competition that out of town and internet trading is posing them. Local independents often offer something different, good customer service and a fair price.”
