Andover MP says farewell to Hampshire Police Chief Inspector

Kit Malthouse MP (North West Hampshire) has paid tribute to Kory Thorne, Chief Inspector of Hampshire Police (Test Valley District Commander) who is retiring after three decades of public service.

Kit said: “Chief Inspector Thorne has been an outstanding leader in Test Valley. Active and knowledgeable, he has always been highly responsive to community concerns and has been a pleasure to work with. I’ve seen a lot of police officers in action over the years, and Kory’s local knowledge, skills and dedication put him in my front rank.

“In particular, his relentless battle against drugs in Andover and his determination to confront the county lines gangs has been commendable. We are all deeply grateful for his commitment to the safety of our town and district — and we wish him well for his retirement after three decades of public service.”
