POLICE: Appeal after woman assaulted in Andover

Police in Andover are investigating an incident where a 25 year-old woman was punched.

She also had an ID card from her wallet snapped in half in Andover.

The woman was walking on a footpath between King Arthur’s Way and Anton Lakes with her two year-old son at around 10:20am on Thursday morning (13th December 2018).

She was approached by two teenage boys, ‘aged around 16 or 17 years old’, who punched her in the stomach and demanded her wallet.

They then took an ID card out of her wallet, snapped it in half, and handed the wallet back to her before walking off.

The woman was not seriously hurt.

She has described the first teenager as:

  • Mixed race.
  • Slim.
  • Around 5ft 5ins tall.
  • Aged around 16-17 years-old.
  • He was wearing a brown beanie hat, black jacket, and black jeans with a ripped knee

She described the second teenager as:

  • White.
  • Medium build.
  • Around 5ft 4ins tall.
  • He had distinctive blue eyes.
  • Aged around 16-17 years-old.
  • He was wearing a black beanie hat black jacket and black tracksuit trousers with a white stripe on the side.
