With the snow and icy conditions, the Met Office have issued a Yellow Weather Warning for Andover today (Monday 19th March) with various places and services closed.
Andover College have announced last night that classes have been cancelled and Stagecoach have suspended services in the area for the time being.
Due to the changed weather conditions and reports from bus companies that many routes will not be running, we have cancelled classes tomorrow, Monday 19 March. Functional Skills exams will be re-scheduled.
Met Office Yellow Weather Warning
Between 00:05 Mon 19th and 10:00 Mon 19th, ice is likely to form on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths. This increases the risk of accidents, as well as injuries due to falls. Further snow is likely across parts of the southwest of England, easing from the north by morning, with a few light snow showers for other southern counties for a time.
Route risk assessments about to commence; yesterday’s snow has turned to very dangerous sheet ice. Services currently suspended for the time being. Further updates will appear here in due course.
