Taylor Wimpy builds a boost for local school

Taylor Wimpey West London has sponsored a minibus for the new academic year at John Hanson Community School in Andover.

As part of its ongoing commitment to working with local communities, the £500 sponsorship from Taylor Wimpey West London will fund some of the running costs and maintenance of the minibus used by the school to transport students to and from extra-curricular activities and to also provide transport for local primary schools to visit the excellent science, technology, art, music and sports facilities.

Russel Stevens, Headteacher at John Hanson Community School, said: “We are very grateful to Taylor Wimpey for their sponsorship of one of our minibuses. John Hanson School has sports teams running across all five year groups and as we play locally, but also increasingly nationally, the use of a minibus is invaluable.

“The other major use for the minibus, is to support transport for our local primary schools as we run a variety of events throughout the year for children to see our school as well as experiencing secondary school life. We would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West London for helping us to continue this service.”

Gemma Bibby, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey West London said: “It is an honour to be able to give back to the community and it means a great deal to us that we can contribute to maintaining facilities for the children. We look forward to seeing the children getting about the community using the bus.”

The donation to John Hanson Community School is one of many ways in which Taylor Wimpey is supporting the local communities in which it builds. To find out more visit
