Man Assaulted in Andover

Assault in London Street Early Friday Morning.

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted in Andover.

At some time between 1.30am and 2.25am on Friday, January 18 the 24-year-old victim was on London Street when he was approached by the offender. The offender then punched the victim causing a cut to his lip.

The victim attended Salisbury Hospital where he received five stitches.

The man police want to speak to is described as:

  • White
  • Around 5ft 7ins
  • Proportionate build
  • Short dark hair
  • Wearing a white shirt with a collar and smart black trousers

PC Patrick Coveney, said: “We know that there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident. I would urge these people to come forward and tell us what they saw. I would also urge anyone with any other information to come forward and speak to us and help us find the person responsible.”
