Mayor of Test Valley helps Andover Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal

Once again Andover Rotary Club has taken part in the annual Rotary Shoebox appeal where Shoeboxes, packed with age appropriate gifts for children, were donated by generous individuals and schools in Test Valley and then transported from UK to Albania, Moldova, Montenegro and Romania.

They were given to disadvantaged children by the Rotary organisation in the various countries.

Pictured is Councillor Martin Hatley, Mayor of Test Valley, who visited the storage facility prior to transportation.

Hundreds of boxes were sent abroad.

Thanks are due to all who donated boxes and the transport costs and also Stratford Commercial who allowed free use of a unit for storage on Portway Industrial Estate.
